For those of you who have a Tumblr account, I've finally joined the flock there. You can follow me at A Few Novel Ideas. I will be placing updates of both artwork and writings there in addition to here at DevArt.
I'm going to be adding some new artwork soon. My goal is to post at least one new piece per week.
On the writing side of things, I've got a story idea in the works. More to come on that later as I get things more fleshed out.
Welcome to the gallery of the HourglassThorne. My pen name is C. R. Scott, but my friends call me Lady.
My day-job is as a designer of digital frills for the company Access Lane. (aka themes for Blackberries & other cell phones). My hobbies include creating digital art, writing, and cooking.
So take a moment to add me to your friends list so you can keep up to date on my goings on.

Devious Journal Entry
I just started writing articles for Associated Content this week, and my first official article was just accepted and published!
The article is entitled "Graphic Design on a Budget - Free Software for the Graphic Designer".
It's about three free graphic design/animation programs that cash-strapped artists, photographers, and animators can use for their works, both personal and professional.
If you guys have a spare moment during the day, be sure to take a look and let me know what you think of it.
Thanks!
Ending One Chapter and Beginning a New One
For the past five (almost six) years I worked as a senior production artist with the company Access Lane. It was a company which created themes, apps, and other kinds of customizable graphics for a wide variety of mobile devices. Unfortunately, due to budget constraints, I was laid off along with another co-worker.
However, the fates seemed to decide that they were going to use this unexpected hardship as an opportunity to make life better for me and my family.
For years now, I've been longing to move back to the state of Colorado, where I last went to art school. I've been wanting to move there and set down roots in the Rocky Mountain s
Written word blitz
Finally got around to updating my gallery with a bunch of stuff I've written recently. I have one completed short story, as well as two far longer stories currently in progress.
The short story is called Like Father Like Son. (Summary: A late night blizzard in Gotham City drives everyone indoors, including crime fighters. When Tim finally comes home, late from patrol, he introduces Damian to his OTP (Damian x kitten))
The first of the in-progress stories is called Blade of Misfortune. (Summary: Once upon a time, there was a sword in a stone. It was once holy, but now it's corrupt. Then the Fates decided to put this defiled relic in the h
Too Busy...
Long time since I've updated the DevArt. As I sometimes have a tendency to do, I ended up taking an unintended break from creating digital art and fractals to lean more towards my writing.
Now I'm trying to find a happy balance between the two... We'll see if I can manage it.
Overall, though, life's been uber busy. Work kinda sucks, but still pays the bills, so not allowed to complain too much. Homelife is extremely hectic with two little girls underfoot until at least 9pm in the evening.
And the holidays are just around the corner...
Welcome to the gallery of the HourglassThorne. My name is Christina, but most folk call me "Lady."
